In 2008, the Coachella Valley Region displaced 8,449,282 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Evivalent) of petroleum fuel with alternative fuels. Alternative fuels included CNG (Compressed National Gas), LNG (Liquified Natural Gas), H2 (Hydrogen), EV (Electricity), LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) and Solar.
